OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital is announcing that their foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Mistletoe Ball will be cancelled this year.

Co-chairs, Linda Smith and Sherri Haushalter-Sopher agree that with the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic and to follow the Governor’s guidelines, it would be best to postpone the event until December 2021.

The Mistletoe Ball is an annual event held to raise money for Hardin Memorial Hospital. Monies are generated through ticket sales, donations, and the evening’s traditional live and silent auctions. Over the past 29 years it has raised in excess of $900,000 for many projects and valuable equipment for various hospital departments.

The co-chairs continued by saying they appreciate the community support over the years and look forward to the event next year, scheduled for December 4, 2021.

As OhioHealth looks at any participation in large gatherings through the end of the year, they are leading by example, erring on the side of safety.

Their top priority is to protect their community, patients, and associates during this uncertain time.

OhioHealth is proud to be committed to our community and your understanding is greatly appreciated as we all continue to navigate through this evolving COVID pandemic.

Please mark your calendars for December 4, 2021! We look forward to seeing you at the Mistletoe Ball next year.
