A disturbance in the 18,000 block of State Route 81 in Patterson Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of three adults and one juvenile.
According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the area at just after three in the afternoon on a report about a wrecker service truck driver being harassed by individuals at a nearby house.
Deputies attempted to speak to six individuals, but they were said to have become verbally abusive.
One of the individuals was arrested after deputies deployed a Taser to gain compliance.
At the same time, a male juvenile allegedly assaulted the deputy by striking him on the head and side.
The juvenile was advised he was under arrest, but ignored deputies and retreated onto the porch of a house where two female suspects then pushed him into the house and closed the door, refusing to come out.
Officers from the Forest Police Department and additional deputies arrived, and the juvenile and two females complied with orders to come out of the house where they were arrested.
The three adults were taken to the Multi-County Jail in Marion.
Arrested on Thursday were:
Kathrine R. Kelly, age 19
Derek R. Kleman, age 19
Elizabith M. Schmenk, age 19
The juvenile was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center in Bellefontaine.
Charges of resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and assault on a peace officer are pending as the investigation continues.
