3rd Annual Hardin County Poultry Banquet Scheduled

Hardin County – The 3rd annual Hardin County Poultry Banquet will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Family Center of the Kenton Christian & Missionary Alliance Church located at 15436 State Route 309 in Kenton.

Each family is asked to bring a side dish and dessert, as there will be no additional charge for the evening. Broasted chicken from The Plaza Inn will be the main course for the evening. Table service will also be provided.

The guest speaker will be Larry Lokai (Buckeyeman) who has served as a poultry judge for many years at the Hardin County Fair. He will share information on raising prize-winning market chickens along with the care and feeding of fancy chickens. There will also be updates and helpful information for both new and veteran exhibitors.

The 2019 Hardin County Fair Poultry King and Queen will be crowned and all 2018 Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winners will be recognized from the Hardin County Fair, the Ohio State Fair, and Ohio National Poultry Show.

Any exhibitors who are interested in applying to represent the poultry department as King or Queen are asked to please note the information on the OSU Extension office website at https://hardin.osu.edu/news/hardin-county-royalty-and-scholarship-applications. The deadline is Friday, March 1, 2019 at 4:30 pm.
