80 Year Old Marion Woman Shot to Death Monday in Marion

An 80 year old woman in Marion was killed in a shooting that occurred Monday Night in that city.

Channel 10 in Columbus reported that Marion Police Officers were dispatched to the house located in the 200 block of Cummins Avenue.

After knocking and getting no answer, officers forced their way inside where the found woman dead and her 78 year old husband was suffering stab wounds.

He was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

His injuries were believed to be self-inflicted.

A dog in the house was also shot and killed.

No names have been released at this time as the incident remains under investigation.
