Funeral services for Richard “Rich” Eugene Whitaker Jr will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow at Dola Cemetery. Friends and Family may visit from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September13, 2022 at the funeral home.
Rich went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born August 28, 1978 in Lima to Richard E. “Rick” Whitaker Sr and Tina B. Webb.
He is survived by his parents; Rick (Rebecca) Whitaker, Tina B. Webb, his maternal grandmother; June Webb, brother; Courtney “CJ” (Angela) Whitaker, sisters; Ashley Whitaker-Diego, Kellee (Steven) Wray, Morgan (Hayden) Ellis, Ally (Devin Brooker) Whitaker, nieces and nephews; Zane, Mya, and Kaitlyn Whitaker, Christina Diego, Nicolas Whitaker, Carlee and Lana Wray and Wyatt Ellis, great-niece; Violet Whitaker, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Michael Whitaker, and his grandparents; Cliford Webb Sr, and Charles and Lillie Mae Whitaker.
Rich graduated from Hardin Northern High School class of 1997.
He was a Tow Truck Sales Rep. at Rick’s Auto Sales in Kenton. He attended the First Baptist Church in Kenton.
Rich loved his family above all. He was a loving son, brother and friend who had the biggest heart. He never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. Rich had a love for animals, old cars, and talking about the word of God whenever he got the chance.
Memorial donations in Rich’s honor may be made to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Cop Program or the donors charity of choice.
