More than 2.2 million Ohioans are expected to travel this Independence Day holiday weekend, which runs today through Monday July 4.
This is an increase of 3.8% for the state.
AAA expects Ohio travel will build on the record travel numbers set in 2021 to reach a new high this Independence Day.
Despite historically high gas prices, a record number of people are planning a holiday road trip, nearly 2.1 million Ohioans hitting the road during the travel period.
