Ada First Responders Receive Medical Run of the Year Award
Lima Memorial Health Systems recognized first responders from Ada for the Medical Run of the Year award at a recent ceremony.
Sgt. Aaron Crawford, past Ada Officer Victoria Sturgill and the Ada Liberty Squad received the recognition.
Each year the EMS Coordination Team holds an awards banquet to recognize exemplary actions by EMS Teams and Law Enforcement Officers who have contributed in these medical runs.
In November of 2021, Sgt. Crawford and Ptl. Sturgill assisted EMS and were actually first on scene to deliver AED and CPR intervention to a gentleman who suffered a heart attack.
Their efforts and that of the Ada Liberty EMS successfully saved this person and delivered them to advanced care to hospital staff.
