Selena Gonzalez- Jordan, a current senior at Ada High School is the recipient of The Ohio State University’s Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship.
The Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship is awarded to students who are Pell-eligible and demonstrate academic merit. 176 Ohio students are awarded each year, with an attempt made to award two students from each county.
Land Grant Opportunity Scholarships cover the full cost of attendance which includes room and board, tuition, books and any other miscellaneous costs. Selena will need to maintain a 3.0 grade grade point average in order to continue to receive the scholarship over her four year attendance period.
Selena will major in nursing and plans to pick up a minor in psychology at The Ohio State University Main Campus.
Selena has been an active member in volleyball, basketball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Liberty Belles and Boys 4-H Club, Ada Mental Health Alliance, National Honor Society, Student Council and Our Lady of Lourdes Church Parish.
She is the daughter of Dustin Jordan and Jessica Brown.
