The Village of Alger is offering an incentive for residents to clean-up their property.

The idea of offering to pay water bills for three residents who are judged to have cleaned up their properties the best will have their water bill paid for one month was discussed at the village’s April Council meeting this week.

The village will pay up to $60 for the water bills.

Dumpsters will be brought in May 14, and those participating will have two weeks after that to clean up their properties.

Everyone inside the village limits are eligible.

Those wanting to participate should contact the village office.

Before and after pictures need to be submitted, and village council members will be the judges.

More details will be posted on the Alger and the Ones That Care About It Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/425074590922643
