America in Concert Friday Night at Marion Palace Theatre

Patrons will have the opportunity to attend two separate events this weekend at the historic Marion Palace Theatre located at 276 West Center Street in downtown Marion.

On Friday, February 22 at 8 p.m., the classic rock band America will take the Palace stage to perform their top hits which include “I Need You,” “A Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross the River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” and “Sister Golden Hair,” among others.

At press time, a limited number of reserved seating tickets are available for the America concert. Tickets range in price from $34 to $58. Please note a $1 fee will be added to each ticket purchased by a non-PCAA member. Ticketing fees are waived for current 2018-2019 Palace Cultural Arts Association (PCAA) Members. Playing at the Palace on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 is the film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

In this animated action movie, Spider-Man mentors a teenager from Brooklyn, N.Y., to become the next web-slinging superhero. This film is rated PG for frenetic sequences of animated action violence, thematic elements, and mild language and runs 1 hour, 57 minutes.

A sensory friendly viewing of the film will be shown at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23. Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities will provide free admission for the first 50 people who attend the morning showing.

Additional movie times are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 and at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 24. The 2:00 p.m. Sunday movie will show with open captions. Movie admission prices are $4 for all ages and $2 for current 2018-2019 PCAA members presenting a valid membership card.
