Applications Hardin County Citizens Sheriff’s Academy Being Accepted

Applications continue to be accepted for the 2022 Hardin County Citizens Sheriff’s Academy.

It will be conducted consecutive Tuesdays beginning March 8 and running through April 19. 

The sessions are planned for 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office in Kenton.

The Academy will provide participants a working knowledge of the Sheriff’s Office

Areas of instruction will include Sheriff’s administration, enforcement, communications, investigations, special operations, firearms; court services and corrections – which will include a tour of the Multi-County Correctional Center in Marion. 

Applications may be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office. 

They must be completed and returned with a $25 non-refundable by Tuesday March 1st.

Applicants must be Hardin County residents 18 years of age or older.
