Area Agency on Aging 3 Rescheduled Falls Prevention Awareness Day

Falls Prevention Awareness Scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 16

Lima, Ohio – The Area Agency on Aging 3 has rescheduled the Falls Prevention Awareness Day for Tuesday, November 16th from 1-3 pm at the Area Agency on Aging 3, 2423 Allentown Road, Lima.

You will be able to learn about fall risks and ways to prevent falls among older adults. Several community partners will be in attendance to educate, increase awareness, and help provide resources on falls and fall prevention for our older adults.

“Even with the increasing number of cases of COVID-19, the Area Agency on Aging 3 remains committed to help increase awareness and educate the older adults in our communities on falls prevention,” Area Agency on Aging 3’s Population Health Director, Dre White commented.

Ohio Northern University Healthwise Mobile Clinic – offering bone density screenings for osteopenia/ osteoporosis, blood pressure checks, A1C checks, flu vaccines.

Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley – will be conducting consultations by staff representing the Medical Equipment Loan Program (MELP).

Northwest Physical Therapy – will be doing falls risk assessments.

There will also be Health Education workshop information as well as AAA3 information available to those that attend.
