Arlington moved into sole possession of first in the Blanchard Valley Conference by topping Riverdale 50-41 in a battle of the final two unbeatens in conference action Friday.
Riverdale (6-4 overall, 3-1 BVC) scored the game’s first eight points but Arlington answered with a 14-0 run to take control of the game.
The Red Devils built a double-digit second-quarter lead and held off several Falcon runs to get the win to move to 8-2 overall and 4-0 in the BVC.
Jaret Vermillion scored 18 points in the first half and finished with a game-high 23 points to pace the Red Devils while Zavier Thornton scored 11 points.
Riverdale got 13 points from Logan Frey and 12 more from Coby Miller.
