An armed robbery was reported at a Kenton business Thursday night.

According to a release from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, a lone gunman entered the store at 130 South Detroit Street at around 8:40pm. He brandished a handgun and demanded specific narcotics. The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of stolen property.

Chief Musser credits the calm and professional actions of the pharmacy staff for preventing injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his early thirties. He is approximately six feet three inches tall with a thin build.

The suspect was dressed in a neon reflective coat, black stocking cap and khaki pants.

The police department was assisted at the scene by the Hardin County Crime Task Force, and the investigation continues.
