The trial of a man facing a charge of complicity to attempted aggravated murder and other charges could continue into next week.

Gerrick "Tony" Sheldon was indicated on the charges after allegedly approaching one of his sons to burn down the house of his estranged wife.

The Lima News reported that testimony this week came from estranged wife Danielle Sheldon, who recounted the time when she received a message from her stepson Hunter that his father intended to drop off his 16 brother to burn down her house located near Dunkirk.

The date was August 13 of 2017 during the early morning hours.

Defense attorneys countered that there was a history of threats and violence between Danielle and Sheldon's sons. Protection orders were taken out against all three boys after death threats were made.

The trial was expected to wrap up today, but is likely now to continue into next week.
