Marion OSP Post Announces OVI Checkpoint this Week

The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today troopers will operate an OVI checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers this week. Solar Eclipse Presentation Planned at Forest-Jackson Library

The Forest-Jackson Public Library is hosting a Solar Eclipse Presentation next month. It will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday October 12. Those attending will learn about the upcoming partial solar eclipse and the total solar eclipse.  All attendees will receive one pair of eclipse glasses. Alger Public Library Participating in Reading Program

The Alger Public Library is participating in a program called 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. As the name suggests, the goal of the program is to promote early childhood literacy. Children should read 1000 books or have 1000 books read to them before kindergarten.
