The filing deadline for partisan candidates and local questions and issues, including local option petitions for the May 2 Primary Elections is this Wednesday February 1. The petitions must be filed at the Hardin County Board of Elections by 4 Wednesday afternoon. The Board of Elections Office is located in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton.

Time is running out to apply for the Hardin County 4-H Scholarship by turning in your Ohio Achievement record. The students are currently finishing fundraising ideas, preparing for the talent show, spreading cheer, finalizing courtyard ideas, and helping others.

Forum at Bluffton University Canceled

A Vaccine Development Forum that was scheduled for Tuesday at Bluffton University has been canceled. The university hopes to reschedule the Robert Lerch Forum in the future.  A Forum called “Being a College Student Can Be Taxing,” featuring John Burkhart, associate professor of accounting, will move to Yoder Recital Hall at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
