Recycling in Dunkirk August 25

Blanchard Township/Dunkirk Recycling will be held on Thursday, August 25th. It will be held in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk.   The recycling truck will be there between the hours of 9 and 11:30 AM.  Recyclables need to be rinsed clean. The project is sponsored by the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District in cooperation with the Blanchard Township Trustees and the Village of Dunkirk.

DeWine Stops for Lunch in Upper Sandusky

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine made a stop in the region today. The Governor had lunch at the Corner Inn in Upper Sandusky. While there, he also met with various local officials. Some of the officials included County Commissioner Bill Clinger, Wyandot County Economic Development Director Greg Moon and Carey Mayor Jennifer Rathburn.

Lane Restrictions and Delays Expected in Kenton Through Next Week

The Ohio Department of Transportation will be resurfacing several roads in Kenton on Wednesday. Resurfacing will take place on State Route 31,  Main Street in Kenton, between Espy Street and State Route 292, and State Routes 53 and 67, Espy Street, between the southern corporation limit and Main Street. The projects will start tomorrow and continue through Friday, August 26th.    Motorists should expect lane restrictions and temporary delays.

Kayak Tours Offered at France Lake

The City of Kenton is offering Kayak Tours at France Lake on State Route 67 Kenton. They will take place Tuesday evenings from 7 until 8pm. A maximum of 10 people will be taken for each evening tour.
