Basic Pistol Course Offered at Forest Police Department Next Month

The Forest Police Department is hosting a Basic Pistol Course in Forest led by a National Rifle Association instructor.  

The course will cover firearms basics and safety. 

Training will be held on September 18th and will be led by Certified Instructor Mike Harris.  

Classroom hours begin at 9am in the Community Building in Gormley Park.   

After a short lunch break “hands-on” training will continue at the Forest Police Range until 6 pm.   

Persons who successfully complete the entire training will be eligible to apply for an Ohio, Conceal-Carry Permit through the local Sheriff’s Office.   

The cost for the one day course is $65 for those living within the Village of Forest and $75 for those living outside of the corporation limits.
