Last night WGTE Public Media held the premiere of A Soldier’s Story: Never Forgotten at the Hardin County Armory.
The documentary featured Albert Horn, a vetrean and the man who had the idea for the documentary, Dan Robinson who helped with research, Nathan Hursh, who is the producer and Sergeant First Class Joshua Mann who is an Ohio National Guard Historian.
The documentary covered the Battle of Munda Point and the men who fought in it. The battle took place in 1943 in the Solomon Islands.
During the battle nine Hardin County men lost their lives, to honor these men this project was formed and now there is a memorial in Grove Cemetery in remembrance of those nine men.
If you wish to see the documentary it will air Thursday August 1st at 8:30PM, it will be on DVD in two weeks and can be streamed on demand at their website at wgte.org.
