The Department of Education has awarded a total of just over $4 million dollars in grants to 11 Ohio educational institutions and groups through the Talent Search program.
The program identifies and assists individuals from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education, provides
academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants, and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to complete their postsecondary education.
One of the awards announced in Ohio was to Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green in the amount of just over $411,000.
