Two shut-off valves were replaced at the intersections of Oriental and Summit and Superior and Summit quicker than expected Wednesday evening.
That meant the water was turned back on in the 2nd Ward of the city quicker than anticipated.
For residents in that area where the water was off, Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb said last night that a Boil Water Advisory is now in effect, “We will send in a sample in the morning (Thursday) and we anticipate having the results sometime on Friday. We will keep you posted. I want to thank the crew for doing such a great job.”
