BPD Officer Named Ohio American Legion’s Officer of the Year

Sergeant Jason Lapp from the Bellefontaine Police Department was awarded the Ohio American Legion’s Officer of the Year award this past weekend in Columbus.  

Sergeant Lapp’s dedication, professionalism, and pride in public service convinced their committee to name him.  

Sergeant Lapp, his wife, Chief Standley and Lieutenant Marlow were able to attend the ceremony.  

Local Legion representative Russ Strayer, represented Bellefontaine in helping to honor Sergeant Lapp’s accomplishment.
