Carey defeats Riverdale 49-6
The defending state champion Carey Blue Devils opened playoff action by topping Riverdale 49-6 in Division 6, Region 22 quarterfinal action Friday.
The Blue Devils scored touchdowns on each of their seven first-half possessions to grab control of the game.
Loukas Carter had an 11-yard touchdown run to account for Riverdale’s points.
The Blue Devils improve to 11-0 and advance to next week’s regional semifinals while the Falcons conclude their year at 5-6.
