Investigation by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office followed a complaint lodged by the Ohio SPCA Wednesday afternoon.
Concern from the Ohio SPCA agent regarding cats with worms and malnourishment of dogs, rabbits, ferrets, poisonous frogs, and a snake led to a welfare check at the Carey residence.
At the welfare check, the officer noted the animals appeared well-fed and clean, with the largest issue seeming to be a dog receiving veterinary treatment for a minor skin rash.
