A Sex Trafficking Awareness Event is taking place in Kenton on Tuesday August 22. It will run from 7 until 8pm in the Conference Room at the Hardin County Sheriff's Office located at 1025 South Main Street. All are welcome from youth to adults, but parent discretion is advised. The event is presented by Safe Haven of Hardin County and Heartbeat of Hardin County.

The Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting the next summer garden programs on Thursday August 17. The program will start at 6 that evening at the Friendship Gardens of Hardin County located at 960 West Kohler Street in Kenton.  The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Registration is not necessary to attend.

Touch a Truck Event at Roundhead Fire Department Aug 5

The Roundhead Fire Department is holding a Touch a Truck event this Saturday August 5. It will go from 2 until 6 that afternoon at the Roundhead Park. Fun activities are planned for children of all ages. There will be bounce houses, music, face painting and demonstrations. Also, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy will be served. The event is free to attend.

This coming weekend is tax-free weekend in the State of Ohio. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 4, 5 and 6, clothing items costing less than $75 per item and school supplies and instructional materials costing less than $20 per item will be tax-free.  The discount applies to purchases made in stores and online.
