Mt. Victory Man Arrested in Union County

A Mt. Victory man was arrested on a warrant from Union County on Sunday. According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, a deputy met with a Marysville Police Officer Sunday evening to take custody of 48 year old Alejandro R. Espinal for an outstanding arrest warrant.  He was transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.

Man Robbed in Findlay Sunday

An elderly man in Findlay was robbed at around noon Sunday in that city. According to a report from the Findlay Police Department, an acquaintance asked for some money, and when the victim pulled out his money to give $40 cash, the suspect grabbed the victim's arm aggressively and forcefully pulled away the victim's entire fold of cash.   The suspect then fled the scene on foot.   The victim was not […]

National Defense Bill Provides Funding for Lima Tank Plant

The U.S. Senate recently passed this year’s Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act, the country’s annual national defense bill. The annual defense package includes resources for Ohio’s military installations, including investments in Lima’s Joint Systems Manufacturing Center. The bill provides $896 million for upgrades to Abrams Tanks and $614 million for upgrades to Stryker vehicles. Still Time to Apply for Latest Round of TechCred

There’s still time to apply for TechCred. The application period closes at 3 this (July 31) afternoon. The Ohio TechCred program is an opportunity to give employers the chance to upskill current and future employees in today’s tech-infused economy. The 367 total employers are expected to provide opportunities for 4,297 tech-focused credentials from the 20th round of funding provided by the state’s TechCred program.
