The Ohio Emergency Management Agency announced third round reimbursements of over $850,000 from the State Disaster Relief Program for areas statewide impacted by severe storms last year. In our region, the Logan County Engineer's Office received just over $19,500. The area was affected by winds of 60 to 70 miles an hour in a storm that blew through in June of last year.

The Hardin County Board of Elections will begin Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting machines to be used in the August 8 Special Election. The testing will begin on June 21 at 8:30 a.m. It will be done in the Board Office in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse.
Isa J. Thomas A Kenton man was arrested this week on an outstanding warrant from Union County. According to the Union County Sheriff's Office's Daily Media Release, a deputy met with a Hardin County deputy and took custody of 47 year old Isa J. Thomas. He was transported to the Tri County Regional Jail where he is being held on the warrant for drug abuse.
