Kenton Officials Remind Residents to Mow Grass

City of Kenton officials reminded residents about a city ordinance prohibiting tall grass and weeds in the city. Officials acknowledged that the grass seems to be growing faster than the mowers can keep up, but city ordinance prohibits grass or weeds should be taller than 6 inches.  Residents were encouraged to keep their lawns mowed.

Hardin Northern hosted its E-Signing Day event on Monday. Seniors declared if they are being enrolled, employed, or enlisted following their graduation.  The Hardin Northern Apollo students had their signing day as well at Apollo.  Hardin County Economic Development has been working with several organizations on the 3 E Program.

Riverdale Aluminum Can Recycling Fundraiser this Week

Riverdale School Community aluminum can recycling days are Wednesday and Thursday this week.  Bagged cans can be placed in the bright green dumpster by bus parking.  This program gives money back to Riverdale seniors and allows them to participate in the scholarship program.

True Armyworm and Black Cutworm Traps Set in Hardin County Fields

Hardin County OSU Extension announced last week that 3 True Armyworm and 3 Black Cutworm traps were set last week in Hardin County wheat and corn field locations. The purpose is to monitor these crop pests for statewide OSU Extension research. After the first week of insect trapping in Hardin County, 5 True Armyworm and 18 Black Cutworm moths were caught in 4 of 6 of the traps set.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Holds Annual Memorial Ceremony
