Community Garage Sales have been scheduled for May 4, 5 and 6 in the Village of Forest. Permits to participate in the sales are $5. They can be purchased at the Forest Municipal Building during the regular business hours of 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.

U.S. House Passes PASC Act

The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Precision Agriculture Satellite Connectivity Act.  The bipartisan legislation was sponsored by Republican Congressman Bob Latta and Democratic Congresswoman Robin Kelly .   The bill would require the Federal Communications Commission to review its current satellite rules to determine if rule changes can be made to promote precision agriculture.  The bill now awaits Senate approval.

The Hardin Northern Elementary School Spring Concert will take place on Monday May 1. It will start at 6 that evening in the Hardin Northern Junior High Gym. The concert is for students in 4th grade recorders, 5th grade guitars, 5th grade band, 6th grade choir and 6th grade band.

A Mock Crash was held this (Thursday) morning on Long Street near the Kenton High School. The educational drill is held each yearin conjunction with Prom Season, and is designed to teach students about the dangers of impaired and disracted driving. Mt. Victory Man Arrested for Bond Violation in Union County

Daniel Sparling A Mt. Victory man was taken into custody in Union County on a bond violation. According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies went to the Adult Probation Office on State Route 4 Wednesday morning to take custody of 49 year old Daniel P.
