Registration is now open for the 2023 Ohio Safety Congress & Expo hosted by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Man Accused of Killing Store Clerk in Upper Sandusky Makes Court Appearance

Bethel Bekele A 27 year old Upper Sandusky man made an initial appearance in Upper Sandusky Municipal Court Wednesday morning. Bethel Bekele is charged with murder in connection to the death of store clerk in Upper Sandusky on New Year's Day. OSP Releases Stats for New Year’s Weekend

According to provisional statistics, 11 people were killed on Ohio roads over the New Year holiday. During the four-day reporting period, from Friday December 30 until Monday January 2, 11 people were killed in nine fatal crashes.  Impairment was a factor in six fatalities, while eight were not wearing safety belts. Striker Tabbed to Lead Hardin County Commissioners in 2023

The Hardin County Commissioners held their reorganizational meeting on Tuesday. The commissioners named Tim Striker as the President of the Board for 2023. Striker was recently sworn-in for his second term in office. Roger Crowe will serve as Vice-President. The commissioners will continue to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office in the Hardin County Courthouse.

Motorists Reminded About Ohio’s Move Over Law

The Ohio Department of Transportation used the start of a new year to remind motorists about Ohio's Move Over law. Drivers are required to move over and slow down for all roadside workers. KHHD Schedules Special Meeting

The Kenton-Hardin Health Department has announced the date for a special meeting. The Board of Health will meet this Friday January 6. It is scheduled to start at 5:30 that evening in the second floor conference room at the Health Department located in the Courthouse Annex Building in downtown Kenton. A special meeting was scheduled for last month, but was canceled.
