The Kenton High School and Kenton Middle School Cheer squads both took 1st place in their category at the 2022 Hardin County Fair Cheerleading competition. The inaugural event was held on Sunday, September 11th, the last day of the fair.  It was moved to Kenton High School from the Fairgrounds due to weather concerns.

Registrations are being taken now for After Hours Trivia at the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library. The next Trivia night is this Saturday Sept 17th at the library in Kenton. The first round of funding to be awarded to local first responder agencies as part of the new Ohio First Responder Recruitment, Retention, and Resilience Program were announced Monday. Several theft incidents were reported to Kenton Police throughout the day on Sunday. They occurred in the 400 block of King Street, 300 block of Haynes Avenue and 700 block of Decatur Street. In addition, officers were dispatched to Walmart on a report of an active theft at the store.
