The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance will once be highlighting area businesses around Hardin County for the Twelve Days of Christmas.  The Twelve Days of Christmas campaign is aimed at encouraging residents to shop small and support local this holiday season. The Hardin Wellness Center's annual Turkey Trot held two weeks ago was a success. The event was held on Thanksgiving morning, and over $900 was raised to support Angels For The Elderly. A large number of people showed up to participate. The date for the last movie night of the year at the Alger Public Library has been changed. It was originally scheduled for 6pm on December 19. It has been moved to December 21st at 6pm. That is due to a scheduling conflict. The library's board meeting this month is scheduled for the 19.

Members of the Indian Lake community gathered for a memorial service for an Indian Lake High School student who passed away in a car crash this past Friday evening. 17 year old Nolan Purk was killed in the accident that occurred on Township Road 240 in Logan County. He was the driver and lone occupant in the vehicle that traveled off the south side of 240 and struck a tree. […]

A Lima man suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash that occurred on Interstate 75 in Allen County Monday evening. According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway patrol, 65 year old Cary J. Hengstler drove off the right side of the road while driving north on 75. Multiple vehicles have been broken into throughout Logan County over the past few days. Thefts occurred to vehicles that were unlocked and had items in plain sight.  If you have any information or camera footage that may be of assistance, contact the office at (937) 592- 5731.   Residents are advised to not leave items of value in plain view, do not leave doors unlocked and keys in the vehicle.
