Forest-Jackson Library Basket Auction Continues

The Forest-Jackson Public Library continues to accept bids for its online basket auction. There are 60 baskets that were donated by area businesses. Online bids will be accepted now until 11:59pm Friday December 8. Only onsite bids will be accepted on Saturday December 9. Kenton Man Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge

Christopher Washburn A man was arrested following a domestic disturbance in Kenton Sunday morning. According to information on the Kenton Police Department's Daily Log Sheet, officers were dispatched to Forest Court Apartments at just before nine Sunday morning after receiving a report about a domestic dispute at the complex. 24 year old Christopher Washburn was arrested at the scene. He is being held on a charge of domestic violence.

OSP Patrol Signing Day Today

The Ohio State Highway Patrol kicked off the 173rd Cadet Class with signing day today.  Recruits gathered at their closest District Headquarters with family and friends to sign a letter of intent to become a member of the next Academy Class.  The 173rd Cadet Class training commences tomorrow at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy in Columbus.

Hardin County Airport Receives Infrastructure Grant

The Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration announced that 96 investments for airport improvements across the state of Ohio have been approved. The total to be awarded is $49.4 million dollars as part of the Airport Infrastructure Grant program.  The Hardin County Airport in Kenton will receive $144,000. Ridgemont Empty Bowls Programs a Success

The recent Ridgemont National Honor Society and Art Department's Empty Bowls program was a success. It was held in mid November and featured dinner, a raffle and silent auction. The Empty Bowls program raised $1000. The proceeds were donated to the United Way of Hardin County.

CR 180 at Sr 15 in Hancock County Reopens

County Road 180 at State Route 15 in Hancock County has been reopened. The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 announced recently on its Facebook page that the road was reopened after the completion of an overpass on 180 across 15.
