Kenton Volleyball traveled to Marion Harding to battle season 2023 opener. The Presidents took an early lead 9-5, before the Wildcats found their rhythm and prevailed 25-20. Both teams battled back and forth each point. Strong defensive play and aggressive net play attributed to the Wildcats' win. The Kenton Wildcat Girls Soccer Team finished their last scrimmage of the preseason with a 4-1 victory over the Ada Bulldogs. Kinze Sprang scored 3 goals for the Wildcats in the first half and Kyla Bostater scored the games final goal in the second half. Riverdale gets the win but Kentons Landon Plaugher is the match medalist carding a (40). Dawson Miller finished his roung with a (45) while Ben Sams and Tommy Mustain both shoot (58).
The Lady Wildcats completed their preseason with a scrimmage with Riverside. The girls showed improvement since the last scrimmage with River Valley. A few more practices and the regular season begins. August 19 @ 10:00 am, Kenton hosts Lima West at the KMS gym.
The Lady Wilcats were led in scoring by Junior, Kyra Fleming (64). We are looking forward to returning to competition next week.
