The finishing touches are being put on the 2019 Christmas parade in downtown Kenton.

This year’s parade promises to be bigger and better than over with over 40 floats, the Amazing Giants, Disney characters and a whole lot more.

The parade lines up at St. John’s Church and moves out starting at 6:30 Tuesday evening.

The route takes the parade to Columbus Street where it turns west and travels to Main Street. It turns south on Main to Franklin Street and turns west traveling Detroit where it turns north and goes to Carrol Street.

From there, it travels east back to Wayne Street where it ends.

Prior to the parade, the lighting of the Courthouse and downtown lights take place, and the Window Wonderland displays are unveiled in the store fronts.

All eyes are on the forecast for the parade.

As it stands now, scattered showers are forecast for tomorrow afternoon, with showers likely mainly after 8 Tuesday evening.

The Parade time temperature is forecast to be around 50.
