Church Service Tonight; Fundraiser for Church in the Park Scheduled in Forest

A community church service will be held in Forest tonight.

It will start at 7 this evening in the downtown lot at the corner of Lima and South Gormley Streets in the village. 

The service is being held in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer.  

Those attending should bring a lawn chair.

In case of rain, which is in the forecast, the event will be held at Gormley Park.

Also in Forest, a fundraiser for the Church in the Park in the village will continue on Friday May 7.

The Barbecue and Bake Sale fundraiser is scheduled from 9am until 2 in the Martin’s Marathon Parking Lot.

Meals start at $6.00 and dessert can be purchased at the bake sale.

The proceeds help find the Church in the Park as part of the Tree Town Festival in Forest.
