The Hardin County Commissioners got an update on the staffing crisis at Hardin Hills Health Center at a recent meeting.
To help alleviate the issues, Administrator Sharon Huston recommended a three tier wage increase for STNA’s at a cost of approximately $15,030 per month, to be competitive.
The three amounts would be based on experience, and would start at $17 hour for new hires, $18 per hour with some experience and more experienced at $19 per hour.
The facility is turning away residents due to no staff for the complex patients.
The three tier pay package was approved by the commissioners as was a $1.00 per hour shift differential for second and third shifts.
