The Hardin County Commissioners got an update from Sheriff Keith Everhart at a recent meeting.
The sheriff said that the School Resource Officer budget was corrected to include Upper Scioto Valley. The adjusted net appropriated was a slight increase from last year.
The sheriff’s office is not planning to purchase new cars in 2020.
It was noted that new cars can last up to 10 years, and used vehicles can last up to five years.
Sheriff Everhart also showed the commissioners body camera footage of the Kenton fire truck crashing into a cruiser on the way to the explosion and fire at Sekisui Plastics on October 18.
There were no injuries from the accident.
