There’s been an increase in reports involving counterfeit currency in Findlay over the last two weeks.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, the denominations have been ten and twenty dollar bills.

Most of the bills have been passed at restaurants and convenience stores.

Employees handling cash should scrutinize cash and immediately notify the department if they believe a counterfeit bill has been passed.

The police department is asking that descriptions of the suspects and vehicle, including a license plate number, be obtained.
