Country Experiencing Blood Shortages

Due to fewer blood donations during the pandemic, and the rise in demand as people resume normal activities, the entire country is currently experiencing a blood shortage. 

The situation is especially serious in central Ohio. 

Donated blood products are used for many conditions and procedures such as surgeries and organ transplants, pregnancy complications, traumatic injuries, burns, blood disorders and much more.

Currently in central Ohio, some hospitals are approaching critical shortages and may soon have to take steps to conserve blood supplies.

If you are a regular blood donor, you are urged to donate again.
