Couple Killed in Lima After Vehicle Slams into Their Home

A Lima couple was killed after a pickup truck slammed into their home early this morning.

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 29 year old Joshua D. May, of Lima, reportedly fell alseep while driving north on Eastown Road.

The vehicle travelled through an intersection where it struck a house in the 3700 block of Gomer Road and came to rest inside the structure.

57 year old Jon and 52 year old Michele Brockert were inside at the time, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

May was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.

Assisting troopers on scene was the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, American Township Fire and EMS, Able’s Towing and Swartz Contracting and Emergency Services.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.
