Crash Claims the Life of a Man in Fostoria

A Fostoria man was killed in a crash that occurred to start the weekend in Fostoria.

According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 50 year old Kevin Tomkinson was driving south on Midblock Underpass when he failed to stop in time, and his car struck the rear of a box truck being operated by 78 year old Dennis Debelak, who was stopped for a red light.

Tomkinson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Debelak was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.
