Death of Marion Couple Thought to be Murder/Suicide

The death of two individuals in Marion over the Christmas weekend is being investigated by the Marion Police Department.

According to a release, officers were dispatched to a house in the 1200 block of east Center Street where they found the bodies of Amy Berry, age 42 and Max Berry, age 44.

Jeff Clewell, Commander of the police department’s Criminal Investigations Division, stated that early details indicate the deaths are the result of a muder/suicide.

The bodies were transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office where autopsies will be conducted.

No further details are being released at this time as the investigation continues.
