Driver Cited for Red Light Violation After Accident in Kenton Monday

An accident occurred Monday morning at the intersection of Franklin and Wayne Street in Kenton.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 41 year old Tiffany Pifer, of Kenton, drove into the intersection from a red light on Wayne and her vehicle was struck by a westbound car being operated by 31 year old Alana Helton, also of Kenton.

Moderate to heavy damage occurred to the vehicles.

A 12 year old passenger in Pifer’s vehicle was treated at the scene for suspected minor injuries.

Pifer was cited for a red light violation.
