The Wyandot County Special Response Team served a search warrant at 105 East Seventh Street in Sycamore late Wednesday morning.

Detectives confiscated suspected fentanyl, cash and evidence of drug trafficking.

Two men were detained inside the residence while the search was conducted.

They were interviewed and released pending drug results.

Felony drug possession charges are expected.

Detectives identified one of the occupants as 43 year old Mitchell Ray Adkins. He was currently out on bond for multiple drug trafficking charges in Seneca County

The seizure of the drugs and cash were the result of an investigation into illegal narcotics being distributed in Wyandot and Seneca Counties.

The Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit thanked the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office SRT, the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s Office, the Seneca County Drug Task Force and the METRICH Enforcement Unit for their help in this successful investigation.

If you see suspicious activity associated with drug trafficking and possession, contact your local police department or sheriff’s office.
