Dunkirk Area Residents: Be Aware of Individuals Asking for Donations

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office stated that Dunkirk Area residents should beware of an individual(s) soliciting for donations, purportedly to erect a headstone in memory of Shane Crowe, who passed away in August of 2020.

The family is not aware of and has not consented to have any organization or individual make any solicitation in memory of their son or on the family’s behalf.

Should you be approached in this regard, you are encouraged to refuse making any such donation; and should call the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office (419) 673-1268 Ext. 0, to report this activity.
