Lima Locos First Responders Night on June 7th
June 7 @ 7:00 pm
First Responders Night with the Lima Locos is at Simmons Field on June 7th at 7:05 PM.
Join the Lima Locos for First Responders Night in partnership with the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board (MHRSB) on June 7th at Simmons Field! All first responders will be admitted to the game for free courtesy of the Lima Locos. They will receive a free meal (hot dog, chips, and soda) and other fun items courtesy of the MHRSB of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties.
The Lima Locos and MHRSB thank local first responders for their service during the opioid epidemic. The sponsored game is an extension of First Responders Appreciation Week which was from April 29-May 5. This is a great opportunity for first responders to be recognized for their tireless efforts, along with a chance to take the family out to the ballpark!
Thanks to the work of first responders, Ohio has seen a decrease in deaths involving heroin in recent years. However, the State is still facing an addiction and overdose epidemic like never before and Ohio’s frontline workers need our continued support. The Week of Appreciation is an opportunity to show support and appreciation to those who work directly with individuals struggling to overcome substance use disorders. This includes police officers, firefighters, EMTs, child welfare workers, emergency department staff, and anyone else who may experience burnout or secondary trauma as a result of their work with individuals with addiction. The MHRSBB of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties hosted events to thank local first responders earlier in May. The Lima Locos partnership is a new event to further recognize their service.
