Forestry Field Day

The Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District invites you to join them on Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., for Forestry Field Day being held in the woods at Rush Creek Sportsmen’ Club/Russ Curtis, located at 17950 County Road 85, Belle Center. Bring your family and enjoy a fun filled day including horse drawn wagon rides, coloring contest, soup, corn bread, hot dogs, smores and cider. Open House and Art Show

Original art by local artists and craftsmen will be featured, with many items for sale. Paintings, pastels, drawings, signed and numbered prints, photography, notecards, hand-made wooden plates, etc., and leaf sculptures will be on display. In addition, a portrait artist will do portraits at the event. A percentage of each sale will benefit the art center which was incorporated in 1994. An Evening of Mission and Music will be held Sunday, October 20, 2019. This benefit concert will equally bless the missions of WyandotCARES – sponsor of local Religious Education Bible classes in Carey, Mohawk, and Upper Sandusky school districts - and School Ministries Ohio (formerly We CARE for Students) which helps local Religious Education programs get started and thrive all over Ohio. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for New Hope Ministry

On October 26th, New Hope Ministries will be holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at 13671 W. Patterson Ave in Kenton. From 5-7pm, there will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle accompanying the dinner. $10 per ticket, eat in, carry out, or deliver. Halloween Costume Contest and Parade

The Optimist Club of Kenton-Central Hardin County will hold their annual Halloween Costume Contest and Parade in downtown Kenton on Thursday, October 31 at 6 pm. Prior to the parade, the costume judging will begin at 5:30 pm and parade line-up at 5:50 pm in the parking lot of the Kenton Movie Theater.
