Members of the 145th Basic Peace Officer Class received training certificates during a graduation ceremony held this past Friday afternoon at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy.

The ceremony was also held virtually through the Ohio Channel for family, friends and law enforcement partners to watch.

The 38 graduates will assume duties as peace officers for 17 Ohio agencies.

In our region, Matthew Mauldin and Michael G. Starrs from the Marion Police Department and Jacob T. Davis from the Findlay Police Department were among the graduates.

Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was the featured speaker for the ceremony.

Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent, also provided remarks.
